AI Chat Board Filter

Use the board filter in AI Chat to quickly focus on chats from one board, or view all chats across your boards. Set a default to start side by side.

Use the scope menu in the docked AI chat to choose what the conversation is about:

  • Current board — the default scope; focuses on the board you are viewing.
  • Current ticket — available on a ticket page; focuses on that ticket's title, description, and comments. The scope stays on Current board until you choose Current ticket, and switches back to Current board when you leave the ticket.
  • Pinned boards — choose a pinned board as the scope.
  • All boards — includes all your accessible boards.

Current ticket is only available in the docked chat on a ticket page. The full-screen chat page is unchanged.

In Settings > General > Task Page, three switches decide where the docked AI chat opens on its own, on desktop and on your phone:

SwitchDefault
Open AI chat on newly created ticketsOn
Open AI chat when I open a ticketOff
Open AI chat on boardsOff

Your choice is saved to your account, so it follows you to other browsers and devices. You can always open the chat by hand. If you close it on a page, it stays closed until you reach a page where a switch says it should open.

If you used the older settings, they carry over once: Keep AI chat closed always turns all three switches off, and Open AI chat by default turns all three on.

  • All boards — shows every chat across all your accessible boards.
  • One board — shows only chats from that board.
  • Default is All boards, so all your chats appear by default when you open the chat.

When you open an agent chat with an agent that supports status visibility, the chat sidebar displays real-time per-agent status instead of a static green dot.

  • Active — the agent is currently processing a task or message.
  • Idle — the agent is idle but available, with an optional duration indicating how long it has been idle.
  • Idle with duration — same as Idle, but explicitly shows the elapsed time (in minutes) since the last activity.
  • Out of tokens — the agent has exhausted its token budget and cannot process further requests until refreshed.
  • Inactive — the agent has been turned off or has no recent activity; it is not responding.
  • The status is computed server-side at request time and shown as text immediately next to the agent name.
  • Changing from one status to another updates in real time without needing to refresh the page.
  • If an agent is explicitly turned off, it always shows Inactive until you restore the agent or the chat session closes.

Agent Chat automatically scrolls to the most recent messages as new content arrives, including queued and typing indicators, so you never miss updates during active conversations.

  • When you are already at the bottom of the chat list and new messages arrive or queued statuses appear, the window follows them.
  • If you scroll up to view earlier messages and new messages arrive, the scroll position stays where you left it until you scroll back down.
  • When a new message appears while at the bottom, Chat immediately follows to keep the latest message in view.
